
A statement issued on behalf of the Spelling family Thursday criticizes daughter Tori’s remarks following the death of her father Aaron last week.Â
“We are deeply saddened that, during our time of loss and grief, we are forced to respond to the media frenzy caused by the mean-spirited and surprising comments made by Tori to the press, just two days after the passing of Aaron,” the statement, issued by Spelling family rep Kevin Sasaki, begins.

In her first TV interview since leaving The View, Star Jones Reynolds said she would not engage in a war of words with former co-host Barbara Walters.Â
“I will not denigrate Ms. Walters. That’s not who I am,” Reynolds told CNN’s Larry King on Thursday. “I have learned from that woman … as much about television as I did about the law from my mentor, the late Johnnie Cochran.”
Lil’ Kim, sentenced in September 2005 to a year and a day in prison for lying to a grand jury, will released Monday, the day before the 4th of July.Â
