Britney’s Got Her Eye On The Tiger

Britney's Got Her Eye On The Tiger

Britney Spears has posted a new musing on her Web site, and this time she’s thinking about … tigers.

In the “Love B” section of britneyspears.com, the singer quotes poet William Blake: “Tiger! Tiger! Burning bright/ In the forests of the night/ What immortal hand or eye/ Could frame thy fearful symmetry?”

She then provides her own thoughts on the topic. “In some ways, people are a lot like animals,” she writes. “We all hunger for the same things. Love, lust, danger, warmth and adventure. Like people, animals all have their own rhythm to life.

“I’m mesmerized by tigers,” she continues. “Their eyes, their stripes, their constant quest for survival. They almost have a sense of mysteriousness about them. They pull you in and make it difficult to look away. They make you wonder what is behind their gaze.

“A sense of eerie awe comes over you in their presence. The fear they give you when you pass them is stunning. Behold the beauty of the tiger.”

Spears, 24, gives no further clues as to what she means, but this is not the first time she’s posted a cryptic missive online. In May, she posted the angry-yet-defiant Remembrance of Who I Am, in which she lashed out at “everyone who think they know me” and promised, “My crown is back … You should bow down/ I’ve only just begun.”

And back in 2004, Spears wrote about her honeymoon with husband Kevin Federline, 28: “We hopped on a plane and took our flight/ I slept really well, all through the night,” she rhymed of her trip to Turtle Island, Fiji. “As we arrive, I turn and look out the door/ People are greeting us right at the shore.”
Britneyspears.com quote:

Tiger! Tiger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful summetry?
-William Blake

In some ways, people are alot like animals. We all hunger the for
the same things. Love, lust, danger, warmth and adventure.
Like people, animals all have their own rhythm to life. I’m
mesmerized by tigers. Their eyes, their stripes, their constant
quest for survival. They almost have a sense of mysteriousness
about them. They pull you in and make it difficult to look away.
They make you wonder what is behind their gaze.
A sense of eerie awe comes over you in their presence.
The fear they give you when you pass them is stunning.
Behold the beauty of the tiger.
