Avril Lavigne doesn’t mean to be so complicated.Â
The pop star has issued a heartfelt mea culpa in response to reports that she spit at the paparazzi Wednesday while out in Hollywood celebrating her 22nd birthday. And again the evening before that, when she supposedly hocked one at TMZ.com’s cameraman outside of hotspot Hyde Lounge.
Backstreet Boy and House of Carters star Nick Carter confessed on Friday that his first serious relationship was with infamous school teacher Debra Beasley LaFave. The pair met when they were teenagers living in Ruskin, Florida, near Tampa.
“I met her in church,†Carter tells Us exclusively. “I was 15 and she was 14. It was my first relationship and I lost my virginity to her. I was head over heels for her and I loved the hell out of her.”

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker are dealing with a rough patch in their nearly two-year relationship, according to a rep for the actress.Â
“Eva and Tony are going through a very difficult time right now, just like any other couple with extremely demanding careers,” says Longoria’s rep, Liza Anderson.
Longoria, 31, and Parker, 24, met in November 2004 and, though they played coy at first, by August 2005, Longoria had confirmed they were a couple, asking, “What’s not to like?”

Tony Danza and his wife, Tracy, have separated after 20 years of marriage, Danza’s rep, Jill Fritzo, confirms.Â
Danza, 55, and Tracy, 47, wed in June 1986. They have two daughters: Katherine, 19, a college student, and Emily, 12. Danza also has a son, Marc, 35, an entrepreneur, from his early-’70s marriage to Rhonda Yeoman.
Danza, who gained fame as an actor on the sitcoms Taxi and Who’s the Boss, most recently hosted The Tony Danza Show, which aired for two seasons before being canceled in May.
Thirteen years after cancellation, the Saved by the Bell boys’ storied game of one-upmanship continues. Somehow you knew that Dustin Diamond wouldn’t go quietly into the night after Mario Lopez’s career comeback on Dancing with the Stars. And you always knew Dustin Diamond had to be a porn name, so it shouldn’t be surprising that a sex tape (working title: Saved by the Smell) has surfaced and that TMZ has the trailer.
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip actress
Amanda Peet, who is set to
marry Troy screenwriter
David Benioff this weekend, is having some
pre-wedding jitters, she says.Â
In an appearance Wednesday night on the Late Show with David Letterman, Peet admitted, “I think I’ve been pretty mellow, but recently I’ve been having recurring nightmares about, not the ceremony, but the party. They’re sort of adolescent fears of just being lame, having a lame party.”

The death of Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son Daniel was caused by a lethal combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro, pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht has revealed.Â
Wecht said the drugs caused the cardiac dysrhythmia that led to Daniel’s death. Wecht got the toxicology results from National Medical Services in Willow Grove, Pa., on Wednesday.
“In my opinion it’s an accidental death,” Wecht said.

On his last day before he disappeared at sea, Patrick McDermott was gardening in the backyard of the Malibu home he shared with his love of eight years, Olivia Newton-John.Â
Now, more than a year after he vanished – leaving his driver’s license, wallet and car keys aboard the Freedom, an overnight charter fishing boat that departed Los Angeles on June 30, 2005 – a stone labyrinth stands in his place. Newton-John built the winding path as a private memorial where she can go to feel close to the man she says was “the most romantic person I’ve ever known.”
