On Monday Brad Pitt visited the Western India town of Lonavala, where he helped former President Jimmy Carter, his wife Rosalynn and other Habitat for Humanity volunteers build two new houses. 

The actor, who has been in Pune, India, with Angelina Jolie filming A Mighty Heart, arrived around noon – when the press corps was at lunch – and for a few moments went unnoticed among the 1,500 foreign volunteers.

Kevin Federline admits that when he began seeing his now-wife, Britney Spears, the timing was less than ideal.

“I’m not going to say that I planned on falling in love with my wife when my ex-girlfriend (actress Shar Jackson) was pregnant,” Federline, 28, tells USA Today.

However, the rapper, whose debut album, Playing with Fire, hits stores Tuesday, says one thing wasn’t a surprise: “I knew for sure that I’d have one or two children by now. I didn’t think I’d have four children, but I love being a young dad with a big family.”

Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, welcomed their first child, a girl.

Their daughter, Francesca Nora Bateman, was born on Saturday in Los Angeles, according to the actor’s rep, Cara Tripicchio.

Bateman and Anka, both 37, knew each other as casual acquaintances for years before they started dating in 1998. They wed in Malibu on July 3, 2001.

Anka, an actress, is the daughter of singer-songwriter Paul Anka. She has appeared in such shows as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Diagnosis Murder.
