Dancing with the Stars’ season-one breakout star John O’Hurley and his wife, Lisa, have welcomed a son.

“At 11:18 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, Lisa O’Hurley gave birth to a healthy 7-lb., 15-oz., 21-inch baby boy named William Dylan O’Hurley,” the actor’s rep, Liza Anderson, says. “It is the first child for the couple, who couldn’t be more thrilled!”

O’Hurley has another reason to celebrate: His book, It’s Okay to Miss the Bed on the First Jump: And Other Life Lessons I Learned from Dogs became a New York Times bestseller Wednesday.

“We can’t believe that we could love something as we do – our new little boy,” O’Hurley said. “The dogs (Betty and Scoshi) still aren’t sure about the baby, but they are really happy about the book becoming a bestseller.”

The 52-year-old actor and the former Lisa Mesloh, 34, a marketing-company owner, wed on Aug. 14, 2004, at Santa Barbara’s Bacara resort, and hoped for a baby from the start.

After the wedding, O’Hurley said, “I’m convinced it’ll be a girl. We’re going to name her Annie.” And if it’s a boy? Vowed O’Hurley, who played catalog king J. Peterman on Seinfeld: “We’re going to name him Neiman Marcus!”

O’Hurley finished second to General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco in the first season of Dancing with the Stars – but later won a viewer-decided rematch.

Early this year, he starred in Broadway’s Chicago as crooked lawyer Billy Flynn, and he hosts the syndicated TV game show Family Feud.
