Anna Nicole Smith to Be Buried Today

Anna NicoleAnna Nicole Smith will finally be laid to rest Friday after a pink-themed funeral featuring country star Joe Nichols singing two of her favorite ballads.

Nichols will sing his song “I’ll Wait for You” and Dolly Parton’s “On the Wings of a Dove,” Entertainment Tonight reports.

According to an itinerary released by Richard Milstein, the court-appointed guardian for Smith’s infant daughter, Dannielyn, the hour-long service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Horeb Church in Nassau, the Bahamas.

The funeral is expected to be “over the top,” according to a friend of Smith who is helping to organize the memorial. “It will be a very beautiful Anna Nicole send-off,” Patrik Simpson told the Associated Press on Wednesday. “Of course it will be over the top because it’s Anna Nicole.”

Simpson said Smith will be outfitted in a custom gown designed by Pol Atteu and buried in a “very elegant” casket.

After the memorial, a more private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums.
