David Beckham Injures Knee
David Beckham suffered a knee injury Sunday night during his match in Madrid.
Beckham hurt his right knee and limped off after he ran into the “advertising hoardings” behind the goal, BBC News reports. The injury occurred during the second half of his team Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Getafe.
Beckham, 31, will undergo tests Monday to determine the extent of the injury, and he’ll miss his team’s next game on Wednesday.
In January, the soccer star and wife Victoria announced that they’re moving the family to Los Angeles this summer, after Beckham signed a multimillion-dollar deal to play for Major League Soccer’s L.A. Galaxy. (The Beckhams have three boys: Brooklyn, 7; Romeo, 4; and Cruz, 2.)
Victoria, meanwhile, has solidified her own post-move career plans: Last week, NBC formally announced that she’ll star in a reality series this summer about her new life in L.A.
