Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Aussie Easter
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban enjoyed a much-anticipated family reunion over Easter weekend.
After attending a church service in Los Angeles, the couple flew via private jet to Sydney, Australia, where Kidman met her newborn niece Sybella for the first time – sister Antonia, 35, gave birth to her fourth child two weeks ago.
Kidman, 39, told reporters outside her harborside mansion that it was “really good” to be home, Australia’s Daily Telegraph reports.
The actress will remain in Oz for up to eight months filming Baz Luhrmann’s new romantic adventure movie, Australia, with Hugh Jackman. She starts work on Tuesday, according to the Telegraph, and filming in north Queensland is starting later this month.
“It’s really good, really good, exciting about the film too,” Kidman told reporters when asked how it felt to be home.
Later on Sunday, the couple spent several hours at Sydney’s Royal Easter Show at the Sydney Olympic Park accompanied by Kidman’s nephew Hamish Hawley, the Telegraph reports.
The trio caught a performance by motocross bikers performing stunts inside a sphere called Globe of Death in the show arena. “Very happy, thank you,” Kidman said as they left the show.
As for Urban, he heads to Europe for a nine-day tour on April 19 before returning to Australia to play six concerts in May and then jetting back to the U.S. to continue his “Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour.” But he’s got a break in June, just in time for his and Kidman’s first anniversary.
