Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s divorce will likely be finalized Monday, a lawyer for Spears says.

“We believe that hopefully today their divorce will be final,” the singer’s attorney, Laura Wasser, said Monday. “The papers will be bare-bones, and we’re trying to get the rest of the details sealed.”

Wasser said the couple will agree to continue splitting custody 50-50 of their two sons, Sean Preston, born in September 2005, and Jayden James, who was born almost exactly one year after. She would not comment on the couple’s financial settlement. The papers are expected to be signed Monday afternoon by a Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner.

Actress Jenna Elfman and her husband Bodhi welcomed a baby boy, Story Elias, on July 23 in Los Angeles.

The former Dharma & Greg star is doing fine, while Story – who weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. – is already a fan of “classical music, a clean diaper, mom’s boobs and long naps,” Elfman’s publicist, Jenni Weinman, says in a statement, adding: “Story wants to give big props to his mom for all the hard work.”

Eddie Murphy joked last Monday night about what kind of engagement ring he’d get for girlfriend Tracey Edmonds. Turns out he knew exactly what he was talking about: The pair got engaged two days later, Edmonds’s personal assistant confirms.

“Tracey and Eddie were engaged last Wednesday,” says the rep. “Tracey and Eddie are both very much in love and are excited about spending the rest of their lives together.”
