Former Spears Manager Served
The day Larry Rudolph has been dreading has arrived. Perez Hilton reports that Britney Spears’ former manager was served a subpoena by Kevin Federline’s lawyers today, outside of Sunset Tan in West Los Angeles.
A source says, “It stinks. He was trying to stay out of it and keep a low profile but he obviously didn’t keep it low enough. He really didn’t want to get involved with this as his statement had said. He’s obviously not thrilled about it.â€
Over the weekend Rudolph contacted radio and TV host Ryan Seacrest and revealed that the rash of subpoenas being served to friends of Spears had sent him into hiding. Seacrest said, “he doesn’t want to say where he is and he doesn’t want to be served because he said it won’t be good for Britney.”
He reiterated this opinion on Tuesday, when he told That Other Blog, “I have consulted with my lawyers and I do understand that eventually the time will come when they will find me, but until then, I’m trying to avoid being brought into this mess. She’s going through so much right now and I wish Britney the best.â€
So far, Federline’s team has served Alli Sims, Daimon Shippen, Shannon Funk and an administrator at Promises Treatment Center, where Spears attended a substance abuse rehabilitation program in February. Earlier this week, an attempt was made to serve Spears friend Sam Lufti, ending in a car collision. While Federline’s team claims Lufti rammed their car in order to flee, Lufti has said that his vehicle was surrounded and rammed by Federline’s process servers.
