Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, welcomed a baby boy on Monday night, multiple sources say.
While reps for Usher and Foster were not immediately available for comment, one source says Usher was with his wife and new child Tuesday at an Atlanta hospital, and the family is expected to head home on Wednesday.
Multiple sources said before the birth that the couple planned to name their son Usher Raymond V.
No other details were available.
With the birth of her first child just two months away, Nicole Richie says her pregnancy has helped her bond with her biological mother – and brought her closer to dad Lionel Richie.
“When I found out that I was pregnant,” she tells Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, “there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I’ve had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I’ve put them through a lot.”
Angelina Jolie is already attracting movie awards attention.
Jolie was nominated Tuesday for a Spirit Award for her role in A Mighty Heart, which was co-produced by Brad Pitt and based on the life of slain American journalist Daniel Pearl.
“She could make any film she wants,” Dawn Hudson of Film Independent, which gives the awards, said after the announcement. “It’s a feat for such a movie star to be so much in that role.”
