MacKenzie Phillips in Drug Bust at L.A. Airport

MacKenzie Phillips was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday for alleged drug possession, police confirm.
“She was being screened by airport security when a small amount of what appeared to be heroin and cocaine were found on her person,” Sgt. Jim Holcomb said. “She was arrested at about 10 a.m. and is still in custody.”
He added: “The substances were found in balloons and baggies.”
Phillips was booked at the Van Nuys, Calif. jail, and bail was set at $10,000.
The One Day at a Time actress, 48, has long struggled with drug addiction, which led to her termination from the show.
Phillips resurrected her showbiz career in the late 1990s, starring in the Disney Channel series So Weird as a former rock star dealing with motherhood.
A rep for the actress wasn’t immediately available for comment.
