Following the Aug. 8 birth of his son Parker, singer Clay Aiken is following through on a promise he made to himself as a new dad: to publicly acknowledge that he’s gay.

“It was the first decision I made as a father,” Aiken, 29, tells the upcoming issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday. “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that.”

Just in time for a whole new season of The Biggest Loser, alumni Matt and Suzy Hoover delivered their second boy on Thursday.

Jax Paul, who was born at Valley Medical Hospital in Seattle, weighed in 7.6 lbs., and measured 18.75 inches long. He joins big brother Rex Timothy, 14 months. “We’re so excited to add a new member to our family!” says Matt. “We’re adding another healthy Hoover to our family and look forward to raising both boys in a healthy way with information we learned on the show.”

Usher is going to be a father for the second time.

The R&B star and his wife Tameka Foster are expecting their second child together, a source close to the singer confirms.

The couple welcomed their first child, Usher Raymond V, in November 2007. Since then, Usher, 29, has spoken publicly about how much he loves being a dad. “I’m so proud to be a father by the time I’m 30,” he said last month. “I’d hate to be 80 years old and not be able to run with my kids. I need to still be able to do flips when they’re in high school!
