Cops Issued Restraining Order Against Britney Spears

Britney Spears and DogLAPD officers slapped Britney Spears with a temporary restraining order last Thursday night after her custody standoff.

Called an “emergency protective order,” it is enforced for five business days. Officers did it to “stabilize the situation,” confirmed Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan.

Kaplan, who did not request the restraining order, declined to say whether he would seek to extend it.

Nicole Kidman Is Pregnant

Nicole and KeithNicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban are expecting their first child, her rep confirms.

“The couple are thrilled,” Catherine Olim says in a statement.

For Kidman, 40, this will be her third child. She and her former husband, Tom Cruise adopted two children during their marriage: Isabella, now 15, and Connor, 12.

As for where Kidman and Urban, 40, who will be a first-time parent, may bring up their impending arrival, the couple, though both from Down Under, purchased a farm near Leipers Fork, Tenn., a half-hour southwest of Nashville, in 2007.

Britney Loses Visitation Rights

Britney SpearsBritney Spears lost her child-visitation rights Friday following her 72-hour lockdown for a mental evaluation.

Kevin Federline is “awarded sole legal custody and sole physical custody of the minor children,” court Commissioner Scott Gordon said in a written ruling after an emergency hearing.

Gordon said Spears’s “visitation with the minor children is suspended pending further order of the court.”

The order is in effect until Jan. 14.

After the 40-minute hearing, Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said: “There are no winners here.”

Britney Spears Hospitalized for ‘An Evaluation’

Britney spears- emsBritney Spears was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital over night after police were called to her Studio City home.

At around 8 p.m. police responded to a call “about a custodial dispute regarding Britney Spears’s children,” said LAPD officer Jason Lee.

Nearly three hours later, police determined that a court order stated that the singer’s children, who were with Spears at the time, were supposed to be with Kevin Federline, and a transfer was arranged, according to Lee.

Britney and kevinBritney Spears’s visit to the Los Angeles office of Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, didn’t go exactly as planned on Thursday.

She was 90 minutes late, and left after less than a quarter hour of questioning.

The singer, wearing a hot pink dress and heels, arrived for her despostion after numerous previous failures to show. Less than an hour later, she drove off in her white Mercedes without speaking to the press.

The singer, wearing a hot pink dress and heels, arrived Thursday morning for her deposition after numerous previous failures to show. Less than an hour later, she drove off in her white Mercedes without speaking to the press.

Pamela Anderson Appears to Move Ahead with Divorce

Pamela and RickThe end may still be in sight for Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon, who married in October.

After Anderson filed for divorce in mid-December, and then days later said they were “working things out,” her attorney filed a proof of service of summons in Los Angeles Superior Court, reports CelebTV.com.

The document, filed on Dec. 28, shows that Salomon was served with divorce papers on Dec. 15. He has 30 days to file a response to her divorce claim.

Britney Spears’s Attorney Wants to Quit

Britney SpearsBritney Spears’s latest lawyer, Sorrell Trope, filed a request Wednesday to withdraw from the singer’s custody case, court documents show.

“There has been a breakdown in communications between (Spears) and Trope & Trope (law firm) making further representation of her interests impossible,” says the document.

Trope gave no further details. But he said the ultimate decision to quit isn’t up to him.

“A lawyer cannot simply withdraw from a case,” he says. “We will ask the court to relieve us.” A hearing is set for Feb. 4.
