Brad Pitt Wins Best Actor & Congrats on His Twins

A stunned Brad Pitt picked up his best actor trophy that he was awarded for last year’s The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

“I guess you forgot something here years ago,” said the mistress of ceremonies Wednesday at the Venice International Film Festival. Holding up the gold cup to honor Pitt’s performance in the film, she said, “Brad, this is yours.”

Princes William & Harry to Join James Bond

007Princes William and Harry are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with another famous countryman of theirs: James Bond.

The two will join leading man Daniel Craig and other stars of Quantum of Solace for the film’s world premiere Oct. 29 in London, the producers of the 007 series announced Wednesday.

Per the princes’ request, proceeds from the event will go to benefit two charities: Help for Heroes, which aids wounded servicemen and women, and the Royal British Legion, which provides support to the serving and ex-Service community and their families.

Dark Knight Shatters Hollywood Record: $158.3 Million

Dark KnightIn case you haven’t heard – or witnessed at any cineplex this weekend – The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan’s dark sequel about the Caped Crusader, took in $158.3 million since Friday.

Speaking on Britain’s GMTV Monday morning, the star of the picture, Christian Bale of the impressive box-office take: “It’s Monopoly money to me – I can’t even comprehend it.”

Along with a hearty $27.6 million opening take for Mamma Mia – the best ever for a musical, topping last year’s Hairspray opening – this turned out to be the best three-day weekend in Hollywood history.
