Jennifer Lopez Still Wants Kids
With her music, film and fashion empires, Jennifer Lopez tops the “100 Most Influential Hispanics” list – but she still wants one thing: kids.
“I come from a strong family, so of course I want to have one,” Lopez, 37, says.
“But,” she adds, “I have my own family: my immediate family, my husband, and his children. I take part in all of that. I am very fortunate in that sense.”
(Anthony, 38, is dad to sons Cristian, 5, and Ryan, 3, with ex-wife Dayanara Torres, and a daughter, Arianna, 12, from a previous relationship.)
Since she and Anthony wed in 2004, Lopez says her outlook has changed. “I have tried to take life with more calm in these last two years since I got married. In reality, I have matured as an artist and as a person. I noticed that everything I was doing was leaning towards my ethnic roots: (The movies) El cantante, Bordertown, Como ama una mujer and a perfume called Deseo (Desire).”
As a result, she says, “I feel accomplished, satisfied, at peace and centered like I’ve never been before in my whole life.”
But is there anything else – say, a few kids of her own – that could make her life even better? “You know,” she says, laughing, “when you have all the blessings I have, it’s better not to ask too much.”
